CrossFit boxes all around the world have a tradition of promoting charitable causes by having their members, families and friends do workouts to raise awareness and funds for different adopted charities.
CrossFit 6221 is a new 320sqm CrossFit box located in Bellagio Mall, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, and will be having its official opening on September 26, 2015. To coincide with this official opening, CrossFit 6221 is launching an online charity challenge.
We will be supporting Rachel House (Yayasan Rumah Rachel), an organisation that provides palliative care to children with life-threatening illnesses like cancer and HIV and whose families cannot afford medical care. Many of these children are not be able to do simple functional movements.

What is the workout?
The workout is a burpees sprint – do as many burpees as you can in 60 seconds.
Movement Standards
- Chest must hit the floor with every burpee
- Must stand up, jump and clap your hands above your head at the top of the burpee

Scaling options
If you cannot do a full burpee, you may scale the movement with stepping your feet back.

How can I participate?
You can choose from three options listed below, and make your donations through our Indokasih site. Click here.
Option 1: Nominate others and donate
Go on social media and tag your friends and family who you would like to nominate for the challenge.
Social Media Post:
I nominate [NAME] to the CrossFit 6221 #areyouCrossFit challenge. For every burpee you do I will donate Rp [xx] to Rachel House. Don’t forget to video your burpees and tag me and @CrossFit6221 your results.
Option 2: Do the challenge and find sponsors
Talk to your family and friends to sponsor you to do the challenge and post your results on social media.
In Video:
Face the video and say:
“Hi, am being sponsored to do the CrossFit 6221 are you crossfit burpee challenge. I will raise Rp [XX] for every burpee I complete”
Start the clock
Do the burpees
At the end of 60 seconds, face the camera again and say:
“My result is [xx] burpees. Thank you [name/s] for sponsoring me. Please make your donations to Rachel House via our link. See you at CrossFit 6221 on September 26 to see how much money we have all raised.”
Social Media Post:

Option 3: Do the challenge, nominate and donate
Do the challenge and video yourself doing the challenge and post it on Social Media with the following:

Face the video and say:
“Hi, I have been nominated by [name], and I accept the CrossFit 6221 are you crossfit burpee challenge.”
Start the clock
Do the burpees
At the end of 60 seconds, face the camera again and say:
“My result is [xx] burpees. [Name of nominating party] thank you for nominating me. Please donate [xx] Rp per burpee to Rachel House. See you at CrossFit 6221 on September 26 to see how much money we have all raised.”

Come and Celebrate
On Saturday, 26 September 2015, we will come together at CrossFit 6221 in Bellagio Mall, Mega Kuningan to announce the total Rp amount collected from this charity workout.
The participant with the most number of burpees submitted in a video will win a three months free membership to CrossFit 6221.
As part of the Opening we invite everyone who tried the challenge to come to do a trial workout. There will be a trial workout for kids, adults and also seniors. We want to demonstrate that CrossFit is indeed for everyone.
